How to restart (reset) a Google TV™?

IMPORTANT: This article only applies to specific products. Please check the Applicable Products of this article.

    Before you start

Your BRAVIA TV runs the Android™ OS, which is also used in many smartphones and tablets. As with these devices, restarting your TV is an effective method to resolve some issues such as the picture does not appear, only sound is being output, the remote control does not work, or the App is extremely slow.

Unplug the AC power cord (mains lead)

Note: If you leave the TV with the power cord (mains lead) disconnected, the electricity that remains in the unit will be discharged. As a result, unnecessary data and error information in the memory will return to their defaults, and allow you to use the TV again normally.

    1. Turn off the TV.
The location of the power button on the TV varies by model. It is commonly found on the underside of the TV in the center or on the back, either on the left or right side. For details, refer to your TV manual.
    2. Unplug the television power cord (mains lead) from the electrical outlet.
    3. Press the power button on the TV, and release it.
    4. Let the television remain without power for 2 minutes.
    5. Plug the power cord (mains lead) back into the electrical outlet.
