Picture is blurry when you watch digital channels on an Android TV
You can sometimes reduce the blur on your Android TV™ by changing the picture quality settings.
- Set the Digital Noise reduction to Low.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
- Use the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
- Press the
(Quick Settings) button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings.
- Press the
- Using the HOME button
- Press the HOME button on the remote control.
- Select
Settings.
- Use the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
- The following steps will depend on your TV menu options:
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
Note: If Advanced Settings is not shown, select Clarity. - Select Display & Sound → Picture adjustment → Advanced → Clarity.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture adjustment — Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select BRAVIA Settings → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Picture & Display → Picture adjustments → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Display → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Digital noise reduction and set it to Low.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
- Adjust the Sharpness.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
- Use the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
- Press the

Note: If Advanced Settings is not shown, select Clarity. - Select Display & Sound → Picture adjustment → Advanced → Clarity.

- Select BRAVIA Settings → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Picture & Display → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Display → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Adjust the Sharpness.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
- Reduce the current Gamma value by 1.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
- Use the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
- Press the
(Quick Settings) button on the remote control.
- Select

- Press the

- Select

Note: If Advanced Settings is not shown, select Brightness. - Select Display & Sound → Picture adjustment → Advanced → Brightness.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Brightness.
- Select BRAVIA Settings → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Brightness.
- Select Picture & Display → Picture adjustment → Advanced Settings → Brightness.
- Select Display → Picture → Advanced Settings → Clarity.
- Select Display & Sound → Picture → Advanced Settings → Brightness.
- Reduce the current Gamma value by 1.
- Go to the Settings screen on the TV
Note: If the above settings don't improve the issue, change the Random Noise Reduction setting. Random Noise Reduction is displayed when you select Clarity.
