Stream UHD content using the Netflix app on an Ultra HD TV
Before You Start
You'll need the following to stream Ultra HD (UHD) content using the Netflix® app on your Ultra HD TV:
- A steady internet connection speed of 25 megabits per second or higher.
- A Netflix subscription plan that supports UHD streaming. Follow the steps to check your plan:
- From your TV
- On your supplied TV remote, press the Netflix button.
- If your remote does not have a Netflix button, press the HOME button and then select Netflix.
- If prompted, under Who's watching Netflix, select your profile.
- Press the Left arrow on the remote to navigate to the menu section.
- Use the Down arrow to scroll down and select Settings.
- Check your plan under Plan Information.
- On your supplied TV remote, press the Netflix button.
- From your computer
- Sign in to your Netflix account.
- If prompted, under Who's watching Netflix, select your profile.
- From the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, select Account.
- Check your plan under PLAN DETAILS.
- From your TV
- Streaming quality set to High or Auto in the data usage setting.
Note: Data usage settings cannot be adjusted from a Kids profile.
- From your computer, sign in to your Netflix account.
- If prompted, under Who's watching Netflix, select your profile.
- From the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, select Account.
- Under MY PROFILE, select Playback settings.
- Ensure High or Auto is selected.
- Click Save. Your changes will take effect within 8 hours.
Stream Netflix Ultra HD content
Note: Recent changes to your playback settings may take up to 8 hours to take effect.
- On your supplied TV remote, press the Netflix button.
- If your remote does not have a Netflix button, press the HOME button and then select Netflix.
- If prompted, select your profile.
- Select a video title with an Ultra HD icon or search Netflix for the terms 4K or UltraHD.
