Apps won't install or update from the Google Play store
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details.
Check if your apps will install or update from the Google Play™ store after you perform each step. The steps may vary depending on the version of your TV operating system.
Note: Make sure to update your TV with the latest software version.
- Check the available storage space.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps according to your TV menu options:
- Select Device Preferences → Storage → Internal shared storage → Available.
- Select Storage & reset → Internal shared storage → Available.
- Select Storage & reset → Storage → Available.
Note:- The available storage space has to be larger than the size of the app.
- If you download an app when the storage is full, a Server error appears and the Google Play becomes inaccessible.
- Uninstall unnecessary applications.
Note: Uninstalling an app erases all the app-related information from your TV.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select
Settings.
- Follow the steps according to your TV menu options:
- Select Apps → See all apps, then check the Installed apps category.
- Select Apps, then check the Downloaded apps category.
- Select an app to uninstall.
- Select Uninstall.
- Select OK.
- Perform a power reset on your TV.
Note: This procedure stops all running apps.
- Cancel any on-going installation or downloading of apps.
- On the supplied remote, press the HOME button.
- Scroll down to the Apps category and select Google Play store.
- On the Google Play Store, select My Apps.
- Select Downloading.
- Select an app.
- Select Cancel or select the stop icon.
- Perform Clear Data and Clear Cache on Google Play Services.
- Set the Parental controls Settings to Allow all.
- Press the HOME button.
- Scroll down to the Apps category and select Google Play store.
- On the Google Play Store, select Settings.
- Under Parental controls, select Allow all, including unrated.
