Add or remove a Google account to my TV

Note: The steps and menu items may vary; for model-specific information, check your TV manuals .

Before you start

• Make sure your TV is connected to the internet; if needed, information is available to help connect your TV to the internet.
• Use a Google account that has a registered email address and password. If you don't have one, create a Google account.
  Notes:

  • Only one Google account at a time is allowed on TV models with Android™ 6.0 Marshmallow operating system (OS) or earlier. If you want to log into a different Google account, remove the existing account and add the new one.
  • More than one Google account can be registered on TV models with Android 7.0 Nougat OS or later.

Add a Google Account

The steps vary depending on the OS version of your TV. Follow the steps accordingly.

Android 8.0 and newer:

Note: You can remove your account by selecting the Google Account icon displayed. Alternatively, depending on the model, you can sync your account or apps, etc.

1. Access the Settings screen.
   • Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
     • On the remote control, press the (Quick Settings) button and select Settings.
   • Using the HOME button
     • On the remote control, press the HOME button and select Settings.
2. The following steps vary depending on the menu of your TV:
   • Select Account & Sign In → Add account → Sign in.
   • Select Account & Sign In → Add another account → Google.
   • Select Account & Sign in → Add Account → Sign in or Google.
   • Select Add account.
3. Enter your email address and select NEXT.
   • Use the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate the on-screen keyboard and then press the center button to select.
     
4. Enter your password and select NEXT.
   • If you've successfully logged in, the email address you used will appear next to the Google icon.

     

Android 7.0 or earlier:

1. On the remote control, press the HOME button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Under the Accounts category, select Add account.
4. On the Choose account type screen, select Google.
5. Select Use your password.
6. Enter your email address and select NEXT.
   • Use the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate the on-screen keyboard and then press the center button to select.
7. Enter your password and select NEXT.
   • The Signing in and Success screens appear when the account is added.
   • The login is successful when the email address you used appears next to the Google icon.
