No sound comes from the rear speaker when it is connected directly to Sony’s BRAVIA TV via Wi-Fi
Check before you start
The rear speaker plays surround sound as part of the multi-channel sound or is virtually processed from the 2-channel sound. Because of the characteristics of the rear speaker, the sound may be low depending on the playback source.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check that the rear speaker is turned on.
- If a subwoofer is also connected to the TV, make sure that the subwoofer is powered on (the LED is lit or flashing). In this case, audio is output to the rear speakers via the subwoofer.
If the LED flashes red, it indicates that the internal temperature has risen. Unplug the power cord, leave the subwoofer for a while, then plug the power cord back in and check whether the LED lights up white.
- Check the speaker output setting in the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app's remote control screen or BRAVIA TV's Quick Settings, and enable audio output to the wireless speaker as well. For details, refer to your TV's Help Guide.
