Can I use Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and soundbars with my Android TV or Google TV?

    You can connect Bluetooth® devices such as headphones or speakers and enjoy TV sound through those devices if the TV supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). Check the device specifications, TV settings, or compatible model list for more information.

    Note: We don't guarantee operation with all Bluetooth audio devices.

    Check the device specifications

    Check the specifications of your device on the model support page to confirm if your TV and headphones, speakers, or soundbar support the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile.

    Check the TV settings

    Confirm whether A/V sync is available in the TV settings menu. If it is, your model supports Bluetooth headphones.

    • Using a remote control with a (Quick Settings) button:
      1. Press the (Quick Settings) button, then select Settings → Display & Sound → Audio output.
      2. Check if A/V sync is available.
    • Using a remote control with a Home button:
      1. Press the HOME button, then select Settings.
      2. The following steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Display & Sound → Audio output.
        • Select Sound.
      3. Check if A/V sync is available.

    Check the compatible model list

    The models listed below are compatible with Bluetooth connections. Make sure that your model is listed.

    Notes:

    • Make sure your TV and other audio device have the latest software update
    • Only one Bluetooth® audio device can be connected to the TV at a time. It is possible to connect Bluetooth devices other than the Bluetooth audio device at the same time.
    • The codec used when transmitting the Bluetooth audio device is SBC (Sub-Band Coding) (LDAC, AAC, aptX, eSBC, etc., are not supported.)
    • Depending on the TV app used, or the Bluetooth audio device connected, some app operations performed from the Bluetooth audio device may not work. In such cases, use the TV remote control to operate the app.
