The TV software update fails or takes a long time to finish

    Downloading a software update requires a stable high-speed internet connection. If you have a slow internet connection, the software update may take time to complete or it may fail.

    To help avoid this issue, you can use one of the following options:

    • Option 1: Download the software update to a USB flash drive and install it on your TV.
    • Option 2: Set the Automatic software download to On in the TV menu.
      This allows the TV to automatically download new updates while in standby model. The procedure varies depending on your TV type. Check your TV manual for model-specific information.
      • Android TV™ models:

        Note: This doesn't apply to XBR A9G / X850G / X950G / Z9G / A9F / Z9F models because the download will only start when you select update after a notification appears that there's an available software update.

        1. On the supplied remote, press the HELP button.
        2. Select System software updateAutomatic software download.
        3. Set to On.
      • Other LCD / LED TV models:
        1. Press the HOME button.
        2. Select SettingsCustomer SupportAutomatic Software Download.
        3. Select it to On.
