How to control your TV using Sony | BRAVIA Connect app or Google TV app

• Remote control operation (power on/off, input switching, volume adjustment, channel change (some operations may not be possible if the device doesn't support this function), access to a Quick settings menu, etc.).
• Control your TV and speaker simultaneously with your smartphone by registering an additional supported speaker.
• Get the latest or support information (Q&A) for your registered TV and soundbar from the app's help section.

• Tap the Remote tab to control your TV from your smartphone screen.
  
• Use the touchpad to control this app's remote with "swipe" and "tap" movements. This replaces the arrow and Enter buttons on the BRAVIA TV remote, letting you move up, down, left, and right and select items on the TV screen.
  
  Tip

  Swiping means pressing your finger on the smartphone screen and sliding your finger up, down, left, and right, as shown in image A. Move your finger smoothly over the touchpad to move the focus on the TV screen quickly and tap to select (image B).

1. Install the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app
   Download and install the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app from your smartphone's app store.
   
   
   
2. Prepare a Sony account
   To sign in to the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app, you need a Sony account. If you don't have a Sony account, refer to the Sony account article to create a new account.
3. Connect to the same Wi-Fi network
   Connect your TV and smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network.
4. Set up your TV with the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app
   Launch the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app installed on your smartphone and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your TV.
5. Sign in with your Sony account
   When the sign-in screen appears, tap Sign in → Enter your Sign-In ID (email address) → tap Next to sign in.
   Continue by following the on-screen instructions to proceed with the setup.
   
6. Complete the setup
   Once the setup is complete, the TV will appear on the app screen. Tap Done to complete the setup.

• By tapping the Google Assistant button, you can search and control your TV by voice.
  
• Tapping the (Home) button will display the TV's home screen.
  
• To navigate, use the navigation pad and swipe around on your smartphone screen. To select something, tap the white circle on the navigation pad.

1. Download and install the Google TV app from your smartphone's app store.
   
   
   
2. Connect your TV and smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your TV.
4. When the app displays how many TVs it finds on the same network, select the model you want to register.
5. Enter the pair code on the TV into your smartphone to complete the setup.
   
6. Tap the remote control icon to launch the remote control.
