My TV can't control devices connected via HDMI when the TalkBack feature is enabled

Note: This information is for Google TV™ and Android TV™ models. Check if you're TV is a Google TV or Android TV model if you're not sure what type you have.
Key passing of CEC is not supported when the TalkBack feature is enabled. If you want to control a device connected via HDMI®, disable the TalkBack feature, or use the Screen Reader feature instead of TalkBack.

HDMI control (often called HDMI-CEC, or Consumer Electronics Control) is a feature that lets your TV and other HDMI-connected devices communicate and control each other using a single remote.
Key passing means that button presses from the TV remote (like volume, play, pause, or navigation keys) are sent through the HDMI cable to control a connected device, such as:- A Blu-ray Disc player™
- A soundbar or AV receiver
- A set-top box
