Error: LOCKED is showing in the display for the Audio/Video (AV) Center.

When the LOCKED error message appears in the display for the AV Center, that would indicate that the Parental control function is activated. This allows you to do the following:
- Lock a disc or set playback restrictions according to a viewer age, etc.
- Block restricted scenes or replace certain scenes with a parental control-compatible DVD.
To activate the Parental control:
- While the unit is off, touch Source List and then the Settings icon
.
- Touch Visual.
- When the Visual Setting menu appears, touch the up or down arrows until DVD Parental Control appears.
- Touch DVD Parental Control.
- When the Password Setting display appears, touch the number keys to enter in your password.
- Touch OK.
- To confirm, touch the number keys to re-enter your password.
- Touch OK again to complete the setting.
NOTES:
- To delete an entered number, touch Clear.
- To return to the previous display, touch Back.
To deactivate the parental control:
- While the unit is off, touch Source List and then the Settings icon
.
- Touch Visual.
- When the Visual Setting menu appears, touch the up or down arrows until DVD Parental unlock appears.
- Touch the number keys to enter your current password.
- Parental Unlocked will appear and the parental control is now deactivated.
To change the password:
- Deactivate the Parental control.
- Activate the Parental control again using a new password.
If you forgot the password:
- Follow the steps above for deactivating the Parental control.
- When you get to Step 4 under the Deactivation steps, enter in the default 4-digit password that can be found in the Operating Instructions for your specific unit.
