The secure link connection to the wireless subwoofer is lost or cannot be made.

Follow these steps if the wireless connection between the subwoofer and the sound bar is lost or cannot be made:

NOTE: Each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the status of the connection after completing each step.

  1. Check the status of the On or standby indicator for any interference issues .
  2. Make sure that the Secure Link function is on.

    NOTE: This is especially helpful when multiple wireless devices are being used.

    1. On the sound bar, press the AMP MENU button.
    2. Select WS and press the C button.
    3. Select S.ON and press the C button.
    4. START will appear on the display, press C to begin searching for a device.
    5. Using a small pin, press the Secure Link button on the subwoofer.

      NOTES:

      • Wait up to 2 minutes for SUCCEED to appear on the display of the sound bar.
      • If FAILED appears, re-position the subwoofer and repeat the steps above.
    6. Press AMP MENU to exit. 
  3. Set the RF wireless frequency.

    • AUTO: the system automatically selects the channel transmission.
    • 1: CH1 (LOW 3.736 GHz)
    • 2: CH2 (MID 3.762 GHz)
    • 3: CH3 (HIGH 3.814 GHz)
    1. On the sound bar, press the AMP MENU button.
    2. Select WS and press the C button.
    3. Select RF CH and press the C button.
    4. Select the desired setting and press the C button.
    5. Press the AMP MENU button.

NOTE: Perform an RF CHK function after setting the RF frequency to verify if the connection was made.

  1. Press the AMP MENU button.
  2. Select WS and press the C button.
  3. Select RF CHK and press the C button.
    • OK indicates that a wireless connection is available.
    • NG indicates that a wireless connection is not possible. Select a different RF wireless frequency.

If the secure link connection to the subwoofer is still not made after following the troubleshooting steps listed above, the unit may need repair. Begin the procedure to send your Sony product into a Sony facility to be repaired.
