Voice Commands do not work on my remote control

Check your remote for the Mic button

Make sure the remote control has a microphone mark on the upper hand corner or a mic button. The microphone mark indicates that the remote control supports voice recognition.

    • B (2016 or later Android TV Remote Control)

    Note:

Common reasons voice commands won't work

Voice recognition may not work on all displays or setup screens. If none of those situations apply, one of the following common reasons may be the cause. Check if the voice command works after each section.

The TV isn't connected to the internet.

    The voice command isn't clear.

The remote control isn't paired with the TV.

The remote control software isn't updated for Android TVs released in 2015 or later.

Note: If the issue persists, remove the batteries from the remote control and reinsert them.

If voice commands don't work after a TV software update or after the remote has been replaced, unpair and pair the remote control to your TV.

What if the remote control doesn't have a Mic button?

There are two alternatives to using the voice recognition function of the TV.
