This article explains how to find the MAC address of your TV. You may need the MAC address to connect your TV to a network, configure MAC address filtering, or troubleshoot network connection issues.
To check your TV's MAC address
- On the remote control, press the HELP button or press the
(Input) button, and then select Help.
Note: If Help is not shown in the input selection screen, select Edit and add Help. - The available menu options vary by model. Select the path that appears on your TV:
- Select Status & Diagnostics → Network status and diagnostics.
- Select Status & Diagnostics → View network status.
- Select View network status.
- Select Contact us.
- Select Contact & Support → System Information → MAC Address (Wired)/MAC Address (Wireless).
Notes:
- For wired LAN connections: Your TV displays the MAC address of the wired LAN interface. Depending on the model and connection status, it may appear only when the TV is connected to the network.
- For Wi-Fi connections: Your TV displays the MAC address of the Wi‑Fi interface.
- Depending on the model, your TV may display the MAC addresses of both the wired LAN and Wi-Fi interfaces when it is not connected to a network.
Hint: If your Wi‑Fi access point uses MAC address filtering:
- Temporarily disable MAC address filtering.
- Connect the TV to the Wi‑Fi network.
- Check the TV's Wi‑Fi MAC address.
- Add the address to the access point’s allowed list.
- Re‑enable MAC address filtering.
