The sound normally comes from the TV speakers and the sound bar if they are connected with an HDMI® cable. Follow the steps below to output sound from the Sound bar only. Make sure to check the sound after every step. If you need model-specific information, check the supplied manual.

On your Sound bar, make sure the Control for HDMI function is on.

HT-S100F/S200F/SF150/SF200/SF201 Models
On the Sound bar remote control, press and hold the VOICE button for five seconds.
- The USB indicator flashes twice indicating the Control for HDMI function is on.

HT-X9000F/XF9000/Z9F/ZF9 Models
- Using the Sound bar remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Setup.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select HDMI Settings.
- Select Control for HDMI and then set to On.

Turn the TV and Sound bar on and off.
- On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV off.
- Check if the Sound bar turns off at the same time.
- If the Sound bar doesn't turn off, use the Sound bar remote to turn it off.
- On the TV remote control, press the POWER button to turn the TV on.
- Check if the Sound bar turns on at the same time.
- If the Sound bar doesn't turn on, use the Sound bar remote to turn it on.

Reset the Sound bar to the default settings.
- Press and hold the power and volume buttons for more than five seconds,
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Plug the power cord back in.
- If you reset your Sound bar, wireless surround speakers, and subwoofers will disconnect.
