The voice-enabled Amazon Alexa device suddenly no longer controls my TV

    If the voice commands from your voice-enabled Amazon Alexa™ device no longer controls your TV, it could be due to a Privacy Policy update. Make sure to agree to the Privacy Policy for the TV Control Setup with the Amazon Alexa app on your TV.

    Note: The Privacy Policy has changed. Open the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app to accept the changes. appears on the screen after a Privacy Policy update.

    1. On your remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Open the TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa app.
      • Android™ 8.0 Oreo™ or later OS
        1. Press the Home button on the remote control.
        2. Select Apps.
        3. Select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa.
      • Android 7.0 Nougat OS
        • In the Apps category, select TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa.
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the Privacy Policy screen.
    4. Select Agree or Proceed.
    5. Make sure that you can control your TV using your Alexa-enabled device.
