No Sound from Audio System When Using the eARC Function of My MASTER Series TV

This occurs when you watch a video that uses audio codecs on your MASTER Series TV, such as DTS-HD® Master Audio or Dolby® TrueHD. Follow the instructions below to resolve the issue.

Before You Start

  • Make to connect the TV and audio system with an HDMI® cable with Ethernet.
  • Check if your audio system supports eARC and that the setting is enabled.
    • Check your device manual for model-specific information.
  •  Make sure other external devices connected to the TV's HDMI ports support output from audio codecs, such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD.
    • Check your manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
  • Your TV doesn't support DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD from USB files, video streaming services, and broadcasts.

Set the eARC Mode and TV Speaker Output Setting

  • Set the eARC mode to Auto:
    1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
    2. Select the Settings icon icon.
    3. Select Sound.
    4. Select eARC mode.
    5. Select Auto.
  • Set the TV speaker output to Audio System:
    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select the Settings icon icon.
    3. Select Sound.
    4. Select Speakers.
    5. Select Audio system.
