What is the Retina Projection Camera Kit?
This camera kit consists of Sony’s DSC-HX99 compact camera and QD Laser’s RETISSA NEOVIEWER, a viewfinder that uses laser retinal projection technology.
What is the uniqueness of the technology?
The retinal projection bypasses the eye's focusing function and projects images directly onto the retina. This process is not dependent on visual acuity and can provide clear and bright images to both the center and the peripheral area of the retina.
How does the Retina Projection Camera Kit work?
This device is like a projector that uses the retina as a screen. It combines RGB semiconductor lasers to create a full-color, low-intensity beam of light. The beam is then guided to the retina with the help of a small, vibrating mirror (called a MEMS mirror) and precise optics.
The laser beam goes through the middle of the pupil and creates a sharp picture on the retina. This lets the person see clearly without having to use their eye's focusing ability, even in their peripheral vision.
What are some of the features and benefits of the Retissa Neoviewer?
The RETISSA NEOVIEWER is a game-changing photography device with a cutting-edge retinal projection system, making it easier to capture breathtaking pictures with high-magnification optical zoom.
Why should I use the Retina Projection Camera Kit?
If you experience difficulty using a traditional viewfinder or screen display, even with glasses or contact lenses, it may be worth trying our product as it utilizes a different displaying technology.
What can I do with the Retina Projection Camera Kit?
The camera will serve as your eyes in a sense. With the camera kit, it will handle the focusing for you. You can utilize all the camera's features, which include a powerful optical zoom, to observe your surroundings, capture photos, and record videos.
Can glasses or contact lenses be used with the RETISSA NEOVIEWER accessory?
You don't need glasses or contact lenses to view images. If you're wearing contact lenses, you can use the viewfinder without any issues. However, if you wear glasses, it's best to take them off to avoid only partially seeing the projected image.
Where can the I use the DSC-HX99 RNV camera kit?
Please ensure that you follow the guidelines provided in the instruction manual.
Is the RETISSA NEOVIEWER a medical device?
The RETISSA NEOVIEWER is not a medical device and is not intended to treat or assist with any specific disease or to correct vision. The laser beam passes through the middle of the pupil, creating a sharp image on the retina. This allows the person to see clearly without relying on their eye's focusing ability, even in their peripheral vision. It is important to note that this product has not been approved by the FDA to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any specific condition.
