How do I enable VoLTE?

Depending on the operator, your phone must sometimes be operator-branded and use operator-customized system software to be able to use VoLTE. Your subscription (including SIM card) must support VoLTE for the device model you're using. Contact your mobile network operator to inquire if your device, software, subscription, and SIM card support VoLTE.
To enable VoLTE
Android 12 or 13
- Make sure your specific Xperia® device model and network subscription support VoLTE.
- Find and tap Settings → Network & Internet → Internet → tap Settings icon (Gear icon) beside your connected network.
- Tap the switch beside 4G Calling or 5G Calling (if applicable) to turn the feature on. If 4G Calling isn't available, contact your network operator.
Android 10 or Android 11
- Make sure your specific Xperia device model and network subscription support VoLTE.
- Find and tap Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network Preferred network type → 4G (preferred)/3G/GSM.
- Tap the switch beside Enable VoLTE to turn the feature on. If Enable VoLTE isn't available, contact your network operator.
Android 9
- Make sure your specific Xperia® device model and network subscription support VoLTE.
- Find and tap Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile network → Advanced → Preferred network type → 4G (preferred) / 3G / GSM.
- Tap the switch beside Enable VoLTE to turn on the feature. If Enable VoLTE isn't available, contact your network operator.
