Error: Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped. appears when using the Google Play services app of the Android TV.

If the error message Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped. appears when using the Google Play™ services app of the Android™ TV, update the Google Play services app.

1. Clear the data and cache on the Google Play services app.

   1. On the supplied IR remote control, press the HOME button.
   2. Under the Settings category, select Settings.
   3. Under the TV category, select Apps.
   4. Under the System app category, select Google Play Service.
   5. Select Clear data.
   6. Select OK.
   7. Select Clear All Data.
   8. Select OK.
   9. Select Clear cache.
   10. Select OK.

2. Update the Google Play services app.

   1. On the supplied IR remote control, press the HOME button.
   2. Under the Apps category, select Google Play Service.
   3. Select Settings.
   4. Select Auto-update apps.
   5. Select OK.

      NOTE: By selecting this setting, the app will automatically update when an update is available.
