Cannot get sound from the S-AIR® wireless rear speakers.
Follow this procedure to troubleshoot why no sound is coming from the rear speakers:
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the rear speaker status after completing each step.
- Make sure that connection has been established:
- The wireless amplifier should be set to Channel A and the Surround Selector set to surround, not surround back.
- Turn off both systems.
- Pull out both of the transceivers, and then push them firmly back in place until you hear a click.
- Turn on both of the units.
- Perform a reset on the main unit.
- The green light on the surround amplifier should be solid green.
- Both units should now be paired automatically.
- You should now be able to hear sound out of the rear speakers. If there is still no sound, continue with the next step.
- Change the ID setting in the Control Menu of the main unit to B.
- Set the S-AIR ID switch on the surround amplifier to B.
- Press POWER on the surround amplifier.
- The green light on the surround amplifier should be solid green.
- Both units should now be paired.
- You should now be able to hear sound out of the rear speakers. If there is still no sound, continue with the next step.
- Change the ID setting in the Control Menu of the main unit to C.
- Set the S-AIR ID switch on the surround amplifier to C.
- Press POWER on the surround amplifier.
- The green light on the surround amplifier should be solid green.
- Both units should now be paired.
- You should now be able to hear sound out of the rear speakers. If there is still no sound, try the one-to-one pairing steps next.
- Change the ID setting in the Control Menu of the main unit to A.
- On the back of the surround amplifier, press the PAIRING button using a sharp-pointed instrument, such as a paper clip.
- During the one-to-one pairing steps, the red light on the back of the unit will flash.
- Once the pairing is established, both the red light on the back of the unit and the green light on the front of the unit will be solid.
- Both units should now be paired and sound should be able to be heard from the rear speakers..
