Wavy noise appears when I watch recorded video from external devices

    To resolve the issue, change the output resolution on the connected device from 1080p to 1080i, or to Original Resolution.

    • The name may differ as it depends on the devices.

    If the connected device doesn't have the settings listed above, follow these steps to change the Random noise reduction setting:

    1. Open the Settings screen.
      • Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
        1. On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
        2. Select Settings.
      • Using the HOME button
        1. On the remote control, press the HOME button.
        2. Select Settings.
    2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:

      • Select Display & SoundPictureClarityRandom noise reduction.
      • Select Display & SoundPictureAdvanced settingsClarityRandom noise reduction.
      • Select Picture & DisplayPicture adjustmentsAdvanced settingsClarityRandom noise reduction.
    3. Select Low.

    Note: If Random noise reduction is set to Low, slight noise may be visible on the screen.
