My OLED TV Switches to Screensaver Mode

This occurs when your OLED TV is idle for a certain period of time to protect the panel from image retention. Follow the steps to change the screensaver run time depending on the operating system of your TV:

Android™ 7.0 Nougat or Higher

  1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings or the Settings Icon icon.
  3. Select Screen saver.
  4. Select When to start.
  5. Select from the following:
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 15 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 1 hour

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  1. Press the HOME button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Under TV category, select Daydream.
  4. Select When to daydream.
  5. Select from the following:
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 15 minutes
    • 30 minutes
    • 1 hour

    Note:

    • The screensaver stops and returns to the previous screen when you operate the remote control.
    • We recommend setting the run time to 5 minutes to avoid image retention and extend the OLED panel life.
