My OLED TV switches to screen saver mode

    The screen saver appears when your OLED TV is idle for a certain period to protect the panel from image retention. Using the steps provided, you can change the setting for how long the TV is idle before the screen saver is activated. These steps may vary depending on your model and the OS version installed on your TV.

    Android™ 7.0 Nougat operating system and higher

    1. On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
    2. Select the Settings icon.
    3. The following steps will depend on your TV menu options:
      • Select Device PreferencesScreen saverWhen to start. (Android 9)
      • Select Screen saverWhen to start. (Android 7.0 and 8.0)
    4. Select from the following:
      • 5 minutes
      • 10 minutes
      • 15 minutes
      • 30 minutes
      • 1 hour

    Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system

    1. Press the HOME button.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Under TV category, select Daydream.
    4. Select When to daydream.
    5. Select from the following:
      • 5 minutes
      • 10 minutes
      • 15 minutes
      • 30 minutes
      • 1 hour

      Notes:

      • The screen saver stops and returns to the previous screen when you operate the remote control.
      • We recommend setting the run time to 5 minutes to avoid image retention and extend the OLED panel life.
